A video circulated on social media showed several individuals forcibly cutting the girl’s hair. Initially, the Federal Police conducted an investigation, but since the incident occurred in Rawalpindi, the matter was referred to the Rawalpindi Police.
Later, Rawalpindi CPO Khalid Hamdani formed a police team and issued orders to take action according to the law.
Police investigations revealed that the incident took place near Christian Colony, close to Pani Wali Tanki. A case has been registered under Sections 337(V)/34 of the Pakistan Penal Code against multiple individuals, with District Foot Constable Asad Hussain as the complainant.
In the case, Asad Hussain stated that while on duty, he came across a viral video on social media and Facebook showing a girl’s hair being forcibly cut. Upon investigation, the victim was identified as Iman Fatima, daughter of Muhammad Ibrahim, a resident of Dhok Khabbah, Rawalpindi.
The alleged suspects include Nazar Khan alias Arman, Muhammad Anis alias Durrani, Jaleel Khan alias Mithu, Jabar Khan, and other unknown individuals. The suspects forcibly cut the girl’s hair, recorded the act on video, and shared it on social media.

A case has been registered, and Sub-Inspector Zulfiqar Haider has been appointed as the investigating officer. Police said that during late-night raids, three suspects were arrested, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the remaining culprits.
The victim, in her video statement, accused a girl named Sana, along with four to five boys and four girls of misconduct.
Police officials stated that the investigation is ongoing, and more details will emerge during the process. Rawalpindi CPO Khalid Hamdani said that crimes involving violence, coercion, and exploitation against women will not be tolerated. All suspects involved in this incident will be arrested and brought to justice.
