Dozens of Saraiki Nationalist protesters in the South Punjab central city ofof Multan on Monday staged a demonstration in front of Local Press Club and also addressed a press conference against a sustained campaign of targeted killings of Nine Saraiki labourers in Saravan town of Iran and also killing of dozens of workers in Balochistan and Waziristan.
The protest rally was led by Allah Nawaz Vance, Central President of Pakistan Saraiki Party, Rana Faraz Noon Chief of Saraikistan Democratic Party, Zahoor Dhareeja Chairman Saraikistan Qaumi Concil, Muhammad Sharif Khan Lashari ,Malik Javed Channer Advocate, Inayatullah Mashriqi,,Muhammad Akram Shaheen Somroo Advocate Mehr Mazhar Kaat, SNT,Asif Nawaz Rajput, Sharafat Abbas Advocate and others.
They demanded for discontinuation of diplomatic ties with Iran, shifting of bodies of unfortunate labourers ,Payment of compensation and protection of all Pakistani workers serving in different countries Particularly in Iran, Afghanistan and Gulf countries.
The Saraiki community has been targeted for more than a decade in KPK, Balochistan and Iran, with many shootings and bomb attacks claimed by armed terrorist groups. Six barber were killed in Waziristan recently.
They reiterated their demand to constiutute a Saraiki province to protect the lives of Saraiki people who are being treated as Punjabis in Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan and KPK.
They further said that Saraiki people were being targetted in hate crime while they are peace loving people.
