On the behalf of Roomi foundation, Governor Punjab Engr: Muhammad Balighur Rehman distributed free uniforms and school bags among the boys and girls of Government Boys High School and Government Girls High School established at Governor House Lahore. The distribution ceremony was participated by Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi Chairman of Roomi Foundation, Former Punjab caretaker Minister for Industry and Ex-President of Multan -Dera Ghazi Khan chamber of Commerce & Industry, Begum Governor Ayesha Baligh, Principal Boys High School, Principal Girls High School, Najam Roomi, teachers and students as well .
Addressing the ceremony, Punjab Governor Engr :Muhammad Balighur Rahman said that learning knowledge is mandatory in our religion for every man and woman. He said that when the Holy Quran was revealed to the Holy Prophet Muhammad(PBUH), the first verse was "Iqra". He said that the aspect of training is very important with the education of children. The Governor of Punjab said that it is the duty of parents, teachers and society to keep children away from social evils and educate them in the best way. He said that behaviours like telling the truth, tolerance, respect, understanding each other, advancing social values and wanting each other's improvement are the basis of good society. . Governor Punjab said that the process of learning should continue throughout life. Addressing the students, he said that teachers hold the status of spiritual parents, respect them. The Governor of Punjab appreciated the announcement by Roomi Foundation to award merit scholarships to the top three boys and girls in boys and girls schools. Governor Punjab appreciated and eulogized the services of Roomi foundation for the cause of humanity. He said that drinking water was being provided in remoted areas of South Punjab where sub-soil water if brackish.it is also purveying meal to porters and needy people in different parts of Multan.
Chairman Roomi Foundation,Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that children are our future. He said that Roomi Foundation will bear the expenses of higher education of the top three students who show the best performance. He said that Roomi Foundation will distribute uniforms, school bags and shoes to boys and girls twice a year. On this occasion, Governor Punjab Muhammad Baligh-ur- Rahman distributed free uniforms and school bags to children on behalf of Roomi Foundation.۔
