Jalal-uddin Roomi foundation kept alive the seven decade old traditions of Khawaja Masood Ahmed family to distribute "Langar" meal and drinking water and other eatables  among the hundreds of needy people on the eve of religious festivals and events like Eid Milad-un-Nabi(SAW), Ramadan -ul-Mubarak, Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Azha and Muharram-ul-Haram etc to serve the humanity. Delivering the " Niaz" langar, and drinking water  at Chowk Ghanta Ghar on the eve of "Ashura-i-Muhartram"Renowned Industrialist cum philanthropist, former Punjab caretaker Minister for Industry, Ex-President of Multan & Dera Ghazi Khan Chamnber of Commerce and Industry Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that the Qur'an urges people to acts of charity and makes it attractive to believers by describing charity as a goodly loan. He says:. “Who is he that will lend God a goodly loan, which God will double unto his credit and multiply many times? It is God that gives (you) Want or Plenty, and to Him shall be your return,"He said that  many people around us live in dire poverty, with very little means to overcome the misery they live in. Young children are forced to live under extremely miserable conditions. They have to struggle daily to get food, . For such children, childhood as a period of carefree days filled with play and laughter is non-existent. Toys, delicious food, new clothes and all the other luxuries taken for granted by many of us, are all unattainable dreams.Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said Spending in the way of Allah Ta'ala is actually a trade with God, the reward of which He himself gives to His servants. That the eternal survival of the religion of Islam is due to the sacrifices of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in Muharram. That is why we see that as soon as Muharram begins, there is no end of prayers in the whole country. A series begins. The scope of which is spread throughout the country. Therefore, we should make the message of the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) a manifesto of our lives. He said that the purpose of the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) was to stand firm in the face of falsehood that the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (peace be upon him) is the victory of humanity.  .
