Acknowledging the services of Khawaja Jalaluddin roomi in the field of health, clean water, rehabilitation and education for three decades, the Board of management of CPE Institute of Cardiology Multan elected him Chairman unanimously in its 19 the meeting held here on Monday. The meeting was attended by Executive Director Dr.Rana Altaf Ahmed, Justice(Retd) Muhammad Zafar Yasin,Prof.Dr.Ijaz Ahmed,Dr.Zafar Iqbal Alvi, Social Activist Mehnaz Fareid Sheikh, Medical Superintendent Dr,Faheem Akhtar,Director Finance Ahmed Nawaz Khan, and Director Technical Dr.Farhan Khan.The meeting was also attended by Additional Secretary (Procurement) as a representative of Health department.
In his maiden address to the participants of Board of Management, Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that CPE institute of cardiology was a source of healing and complete recovery for the heart patients of South Punjab , Balochistan and Sindh .CPE cardiology Institute Multan has an outstanding team of highly qualified doctors supported by professional staff experienced in their respective fields and is equipped with advanced medical and surgical technology. This institute was recognised as standardised and good quality institution. He assured that management board would take allout efforts for early completion of new block of the institute besides meeting the requirement of medicines. The session approved a contract of maintenance of elevators (Lifts)
Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi is an experienced administrator who served as head of Board of Management of Nishtar Hospital & University, Chairman of Multan Dryport Trust, Board of Management of Industrial estate, Diretor Board of Investment. President of Board of management of Punjab Employees Social Security institution.
Noted industrialist Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi is a Chairman of Jalaluddin Roomi Foundation which is running a different projects of Langar Khanay "saaf pani", education, healthcare and distribution of food among the destitutes. He had also served as Punjab caretaker Minister for industries.
Services of Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi were also acknowledged by Prime Minister Imran Khan, Punjab Governor Ch.Muhammad Sarwar and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Muhammad Usman Buzdar particularly during pandemic COVID-19 when he supplied personal protective kits for the medical and para-medical staff.
