Dozens of activists of Awami National Party (ANP) led by Malik Umar Abbas tore up, trampled, and set fire to images of Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi, as they protested at Chungi No.9 in Multan against the peace agreement between the UAE with Israel. They also burnt flags of three countries i.e United States, United Arab Emirates, and Israel.
Participants expressed solidarity with the Palestinian. Malik Umar Abbas district President of ANP Multan said that UAE had stabbed in the back of Palestinians for its personal gains and destroyed their decades-long struggle.
He expressed his surprise on the mysterious silence of Saudi Arabia and the ambiguous statement of the Pakistani Government. Under an agreement brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump, Israel and the UAE announced on Thursday that they will normalize diplomatic ties, brought together by a confluence of interests against Iran. Speakers said,'"Collaboration with the UAE is worse, a hundred times worse than collaborating with Israel. That Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and his dirty dogs look out for themselves and their interests and the rest of us can go to hell," they said.
The deal also envisions giving Muslims greater access to Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque by allowing them to directly fly from Abu Dhabi to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport.
