A 25-year-old youth died during his wedding procession after he started feeling uncomfortable with the high decibel of the DJ music blaring at his 'baraat' in Nizamabad district of Telangana.
Hours after his marriage, M. Ganesh collapsed late on Friday, February 14. He breathed his last before he was shifted to a nearby hospital. Doctors said he died of cardiac arrest.
The incident occurred in Bodhan town, about 200 km from Hyderabad.
The marriage ceremony was held earlier during the day. According to Ganesh?s family members the 'baraat' was taken out late. They said the youth felt uncomfortable due to the high decible DJ sound and collapsed.
Four children, aged between four and six years, were killed after a school bus of a private school with 12 students onboard caught fire at Longowal town in Sangrur district in Punjab on Saturday, the police said.
The driver of the van escaped after the accident. Locals managed to evacuate eight children.
The van belonged to Simran Public School in Longowal. The children were returning home from the school when the van caught fire.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, District Education Officer Om Parkash told the media. The accident spot is some 20km from district headquarters Sangrur.
