Female artist Lubna Gulalai murdered in Mardan


A female pushto stage artist was murdered in Choora area of Mardan district on Friday.She was allegedly tortured and killed by her husband. She was a mother of a son
Mardan district police officer Sajjad Khan identified the artist as Lubna alias Gulalai who was living with her sister in Gul Abad Qazi Town area of Peshawar.
He said that her sister charged Nawab, Fazal Malik and Shah Hussain with the murder after her body was recovered by cops from Choora area of Mardan. He said that the slain had had gone with these three persons in a car.
He said that two of the accused identified as Shah Husssain and Fazal Malik had been arrested and the car recovered while efforts were underway to arrest the third accused.
The Mardan DPO said that the deceased was married to Mohammad Imran with whom she had a child. She was, however, living with her sister, Sabrina after differences with her husband. Authorities on Thursday recovered a woman’s body in the district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) which they identified as actress Lubna, alias Gulalai.As per the details, after the dispute with her husband Muhammad Imran, who hails from Mardan, the actress along with her infant son moved to Peshawar to stay with her sister.Young stage dancer allegedly shot dead by suitor in Peshawar. Of late, three friends of the actress’ husband – identified as Shah Hussain, Fazal Malik and Nawab – came to the sister’s residence and claimed that they were a Jirga members sent by Imran to resolve the dispute.Upon their ‘assurance’, Gualalai agreed to reconcile with her husband and left for Mardan along with them.Subsequently, when cellphones of Gulalai and the Jirga members turned silent that alerted the victim’s family to inform the police.
