Food safety is essential to save the consumers and business- Roman Tanvir Sheikh

MULTAN, Jan 10th:Renowned Food Technologist Zainab Tariq said that food Safety & Personal Hygiene practices is necessary to save the life of consumers,Preventive measure reduces the risks of food contamination or food poisoning thus protecting both the public health and business reputation. Anyone responsible for running a food business must ensure that adequate provision and procedures are put into place to ensure that all employees are aware of the potential food safety risks that may arise.Delivering his speech at one day help desk on "Food Safety" jointly organised by Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry and SMEDA which was attended by the students of Bahauddin Zikiriya University, Citizens and people related to food business. She said that through increasing the knowledge and skills that individuals have in regards to potential food safety hazards, risk can be greatly reduced and public health be protected.She spoke at length on Food Laws, Food Hazards, Handling Methods, Sanitary Facilities, Pest Management ,Hygiene during service ,Personal Hygiene & Health Protection and Keeping the product safe , Begum RomanaTanvir Sheikh SVP of Multan Chamber and Chairperson of MCCI's women social welfare sub committee said in her presidential address that such training describes the performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required to apply good hygiene practices within a range of service industry operations. She said that this helpdesk would provide a unique opportunity to entrepreneur , HR professionals to have a one-on-one interaction to discuss their food business-related issue and to seek expert advice like Food Safety & Hygiene Management,Quality Management, ISO standards,Raw Material Management, Technology Innovations, Modern Food Processing & Food Technology and International Standards & Certifications.She eulogised the services of SMEDA in educating the people, Begum Syeda Sarwat Zahra, Sana Niaz Burrana ,Syed Ijaz Shah and Khurram Javed Secretary General of MCCI also joined them.
