Govt to recruit 2,200 Baloch youth in motorway police,20,000 in Army

The federal government has announced that it will recruit 2,200 Baloch youth in the National Highways and Motorways Police, Radio Pakistan reported on Monday.
Minister of State for Communications Murad Saeed in an interview said the educated youth of Balochistan will be recruited to the state institution to integrate them into the mainstream.
The decision was made for the benefit of Baloch youth following the approval of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Saeed said.
The minister mentioned that the quota of Balochistan in federal jobs is only six per cent according to rules. He said the development of Balochistan was among the top priorities of the incumbent government.
The minister urged the Baloch youth to come forward and play their part in serving the nation.Rules had been relaxed for recruitment of Balochistan youths in the Pakistan Army so that they could play due role in making their province peaceful and prosperous by foiling nefarious design of the country’s enemies.Gen  said that army would continue to play its significant role in bringing development and progress and prosperity to the province.He said Baloch youths were being encouraged to join the army and recruitment rules had been relaxed for them.
“As many as 20,000 youths from Balochistan have been recruited in Pakistan Army since 2010 that shows the utmost dedication of armed forces for the rising of geographically largest province of the country,” he said
Over 2,000 young people from Balochistan attended training in the ISSB centre increasing thereby the number of Baloch youths in the officer ranks, he said, adding that after joining the army they were playing important role for restoring peace in the province.
He said a developed and prosperous Balochistan would contribute to the development of Pakistan. More people from Balochistan will be welcomed to join the army so that they could use their skills and talent for the defence of the country.
He said army personnel played an important role in rescue work in the event of floods and earthquakes in the province and they were cooperating with the provincial government in providing relief to the people affected by natural calamities.
He said the army also played an important role in maintaining peace during the local bodies’ elections held in the province recently.
