Six Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel were martyred in a road accident after the bus they were travelling on collided with Frontier Corps’ vehicle in Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.
Initial reports from the area suggested that the deaths occurred after the two vehicles’ head-on collision.
The bus was en route to Drazanda area of the city while the other one was coming from from Quetta.
The deceased were identified as Razaq, Wali Yar and Taj Gull belonging to Frontier Constabulary Darazinda and Khushnod, Obaidullah, Muhammad Arsalan and Faisal Hayat from Frontier Constabulary Zhob.
The injured include Maqbool, Touqeer, Quddus, Amad Hussain, Muhammad Waqar, Shahbaz, Asif, Khurshid and Arshad.
In May, Quetta was saved from a major disaster after security forces foiled a major terrorist attack, killing five suicide bombers who tried to storm a Frontier Corps compound in the city.
