Sindh Governor Ishratul Ebad to be replaced by Justice (R) Saeeduz Zaman Siddiqui ?

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has approved the name of Justice (retd) Saeeduz Zaman Siddiqui to be appointed as the 31st Governor of Sindh, Express News reported.

The decision for the change of Sindh governor was reportedly made during a recent meeting between the president and the prime minister. The appointment will be notified by President Mamnoon Hussain on PM Nawaz’s advice, said the official sources.
Talking to a private news channel on Wednesday, Siddiqui, , who is a former chief justice of the Supreme Court, confirmed that he has been offered the position of Sindh Governor. He said that restoration of law and order in Karachi would be his first priority. “I will try my best to address the issues of people,” he said.
The retired SC judge will replace Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan, who was recently engulfed in a controversy after Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Syed Mustafa Kamal hurled several accusations at him during a press conference in Karachi.
Kamal Kamal alleged that Khan was in contact with and assisting Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) founding chief Altaf Hussain and leader Farooq Sattar. He went on to call the governor ‘rishwat-ul-Ibad’, alleging that Khan would never miss any chance of taking bribes in cases such as land grabbing.
