Professor Rao Altaf Hussain was killed when attackers opened fire in Lahore

Unidentified assailants on Tuesday shot dead a professor of Government College of Science in Lahore's Iqbal Town area, police said.
Professor Rao Altaf Hussain was killed when attackers opened fire on his car as he was returning home after dropping off his son to school.
The police have started investigation to determine whether the attack was a targeted killing. They are also surveying the CCTV footage of the incident.

Unidentified assailants had killed principal of Law College in Quetta Barrister Amanullah Khan this year.
Last year in April Prof. Waheedur Rehman of Mass Communication department of Karachi University was targeted to death.
Another prominent teacher and the Dean of Islamic Studies in Karachi University Prof. Shakeel Auj was killed in Gulshan Iqbal area of Karachi in 2014.
