A suspected Pakistani boat with nine persons on board was on Sunday apprehended off Gujarat coast by the Indian Coast Guard, The Times of India reported.
ICGS Samudra Pavak apprehended the boat at about 10:15 am, the Coast Guard claimed, adding preliminary information indicated those on board were Pakistani fishermen.
According to the defence ministry, security agencies have been extra cautious in view of the prevailing security scenario following the ‘surgical strike’ by Indian Army on ‘terror camps’ across the Line of Control.
Further investigation was underway and the alleged apprehended Pakistanis along with the boat were being taken to Porbandar for further probe.
