On a tip off Frontier Constabulry and Intelligence agencies raided a compound in Darkhan area of Quetta and recovered a large amount of weapons, bombs and rocket launchers, reported South Punjab News. No arrests were made as the area was clear. According to FC and Intelligence the weapons were to be used on Independence Day to cause chaos. Quetta Police and sensitive agencies seized huge cache of arms and ammunition including explosive material and hand grenade in a successful raid and foiled a massive bid of terrorism and subversion in Quetta. This was disclosed by Capital City Police Officer (CCOP) Abdul Razzaq Cheema. CCPO said police was tipped by secret agencies that some terrorists and huge quantity of arms and ammunition was present in a house at Darkhan area. Chasing this information police raided the site and seized huge quantity of arms and ammunition and explosive material valued at Rupees 60 to 80 millions. He said the seized arms and ammunition was to be used for massive subversion in Quetta City on the eve of Independence day. By the grace of Allah it reached into our hands and people in the city were saved from massive catastrophe.Seized arms and ammunition included LMG (110), kalashinkov (10), kalashinkov rounds (50000), kalashinkov magazines (500), RPG-7 (5), RPG-7 rockets (100), explosive (50 bundles).
