A UAE-based labourer from India has won Dhs1 million

A UAE-based labourer from India has won Dhs1 million through Al-Ansari Exchange’s Summer Rewards promotion.

“I will now begin a new life with the money I have won,” said Nanhaku Yadav, who has been working in Dubai since 2012. He gets a salary of Dhs 1,800  of which he spends Dhs500 on monthly expenses and sends the remaining back to his family of seven in India.

Before moving to Dubai, Yadav was studying and then working in India. In a video made by the exchange, Yadav shares his dream of always owning a business in his hometown. The video also shows how Yadav was selected and then announced as the winner from thousands of participants.

“I never thought I would win Dhs 1 million, but through Al-Ansari Exchange I got this chance to win. I want to convey this message to people around me that they can change their destiny, but they need to believe in themselves.”
