One Passenger Shahbaz succumbed to wounds in Hospital and 26 passengers sustained injuries when four bogies of Pakistan Express train derailed and capsized near Makhdoompur Pahoran Railway Station in Khanewal district on Monday.
The Karachi-bound train packed with passengers was coming from Rawalpindi .As it reached at Makhdoompur Pahoran railway station.Driver saw run-through signal and hesped upthe train.Incidently the train was diverted to a weak track which could not afford the load of the train and it capsized
The sources informed that the accident was result of technical fault related to change of track, however, investigation is in progress to ascertain the actual reason.Rescue teams have shifted the shifted the injured persons nearby hospitals.
