At least five terrorists were killed and another was arrested during a search operation in Dera Bugti jointly conducted by Frontier Corps (FC) and intelligence agencies on Sunday.
A spokesman for the FC, the operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence information during which an exchange of fire also took place with members of a banned organization.
He said the terrorists were involved in various crimes including attacks on security forces and gas pipelines, kidnapping for ransom and extortion.
The spokesman said many hideouts of militants were destroyed and huge cache of ammunition was also seized during the operation.
