ACS & AIG should serve 15 days in Multan & Bahawalpur,Suggests Jalaluddin Roomi

MULTAN, July Ist: Establishment of Sub civil Secretariat of South Punjab is an epoch making decision which will far-reaching effects on life of people of this area. An historic step taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar would be remembered forever. South Punjab has got its recognition and identification after 72 years of creation of Pakistan. The Punjab government has finally taken the first concrete step as it approved creation of 385 posts, including an additional chief secretary (ACS) and additional Inspector-General (AIG) Punjab, to make the South Punjab civil secretariat functional on July 1(Today).
Talking to Media persons here on Wednesday, former Punjab caretaker Minister for Industries and ex-President of Chambers of Commerce & Industry Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan Khawaja Jalal-uddin Roomi hoped that doors of industrial development would be opened with the setting up of a civil secretariat and it would also create new job opprtunities besides resolving the people's problems at their door step. He suggested that Additional Chief Secretary should serve 15 days in Multan. Similarly AIG police should perform his duties in Bahawalpur for two weeks to facilitate the people of this region. He said that Punjab Government has allocated 33 percent development funds for South Punjab which would change the landscape of this neglected zone and it would bring prosperity, economic stability and better standard of living .The south Punjab civil secretariat is functioning under the additional chief secretary and house 18 departments, including planning and development, health, education, irrigation, communication and works, finance, local government, housing, women development, energy and agriculture. Each department is represented by a special secretary, while having full powers of an administrative secretary.
Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi paid tribute to foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi who made relentless efforts and struggle for the cause of South Punjab. He said that He had a good vision to see in the future. Now it is the duty of all Political Parties, regional outfits and civil society to join hands with each other to achieve the targets of betterment of the people of the area and upliftment of their living standard. He was optimistic that our agriculture would also boost up and our farmers who cultivate Cotton, Maize, Wheat, oilseed etc would be prosperous. Job opportunities would also be emerged in agriculture sector.
Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that we should observe the thanks giving day because Almighty made us powerful.
