Police have arrested the culprit on the charge of killing his real sister Samina (18). According to sources within the the Kundai police station, Shoaib Ahmed was suspected that Samina had developed sexual ties with another person in the village. This suspicion was established when she rejected the man selected by parents. Shoaib wanted his sister to accept a marriage proposal of his choice.
When she rejected the proposal in favour of her own choice of suitor, the siblings got into a heated argument which ended with Shoaib shooting his sister and fleeing the scene of the crime, police said.
The woman's body has been sent to the Rural Health Centre for a post-mortem examination and an FIR has been registered in the case.
