Addressing a news conference here at Multan Press Club, he added that civil war would have erupted in the country had the army chief not stepped in during the sit-in saga. “It is army and media, who have saved the country from civil war. The government completely failed,” he claimed. He was of the opinion that the ground realities are totally different from the ones seen in closed rooms. He asked all parliamentarians to seek pardon from Allah Almighty for the sin they committed by participating in the attempt for amending Khatme Nubuwwat clauses.
He claimed that the PML-N had a vicious plan to get the participants of the sin-in attacked by the army but the army smelled the conspiracy and resolve the issue with wisdom. He said that the army chief proposed to the government to settle the issue through dialogue instead of force.
Mr Dasti pointed out that the US, India and Israel hatched conspiracies against Pakistan from Afghanistan while the rulers are playing the role of their agents. “They’ve finalised their vicious plans to disintegrate Pakistan,” he alleged. He maintained that Zardari and Nawaz are acting upon Jewish agenda to bring army and people face to face, adding that both of them want to set up a monarch in the country.
He claimed that billions of dollars are being spent on Qadiani issue which was crafted in the US and exported to Pakistan. He claimed that Zardari also had a hand in Qadiyani issue. He said that Nawaz Sharif was caught by Allah for his misdeeds and he had been thrown out of government while his children were declared proclaimed offenders.
He asserted that Nawaz, Shehbaz, Khaqan, Rana Sana Ullah and all members of the cabinet were involved in attempt to amend the law. He declared that there is no room in Pakistan for anyone who committed blasphemy. “The current situation would not have taken place, had the condemned prisoners, who have committed blasphemy, hanged,” he said. He paid glowing tributes to Maulana Khadim Rizvi for keeping the participants of the sit-in peaceful and ending it calmly. “I can’t understand as to why all governments try to amend Khatme Nubuwwat laws? Probably it is because they have properties in the UK, which, in fact, is the headquarters of all conspiracies,” he asserted.
He said that the PML-N is running a shameful campaign against the judiciary and Maryam Nawaz spitted venom against judges. He said that the current Prime Minister is a dummy. He said that he had said in the assembly to blacken the face of Zahid Hamid and send him to the jail riding a donkey. He said that Shah Mehmood played a laudable role during Raymond Davis saga while the then government licked the boots of Americans.
“They were the people who kidnapped Aimal Kansi and handed over Aafia Siddiqui,” he maintained.
Answering a question, he said that PPP is in the hands of a dacoit. To another query, he said that billions of rupees were spent on census but still the PPP, MQM and other parties are objections to it. Dasti alleged that PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi committed corruption worth millions in thermal power projects. He pointed out that 1.4 million sugar sacks were dumped in a sugar mill in Muzaffargarh but the farmers are not being paid their bills. He said that the government released grants worth billions to the MNAs and MPAs to win their support while on the other hand, local governments are being denied funds as a result of which the masses faced serious problems.
