Houthis claim attacks on Saudi military vessels off Yemen's Al-Mokha port

Yemen’s Houthi rebels claim they attacked what they describe as a Saudi military ship and four escort vessels in the Red Sea with missiles, Reuters reports citing a statement by the group’s military spokesperson Yahya Saree, on Telegram.

There has been no immediate confirmation of the attack from Saudi authorities.US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Oman, threatening to bomb it if it “gets in the way”, regarding control of the Strait of Hormuz.

“If Oman gets in the way, we’ll bomb the s- out of them,” Trump has told Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst over the phone.

Yingst adds that the US president told Fox News that Iran should “raise the white flag of surrender” and that Washington is “in no hurry” to make a deal as a backchannel with Tehran remains open.

Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Deputy Commander-in-Chief Major General Mostafa Izadi claims that during the US-Israeli war on Iran, over 200 enemy aircraft were shot down, the Fars news agency reports.

“In the recent war, not only did Iran not disintegrate and no damage was inflicted on the Islamic system, but it demonstrated itself to the world as stronger and more steadfast,” he is quoted as saying by the news agency.

Iranian Parliament National Security Committee Chairman Ebrahim Azizi said in a post on X that US President Donald Trump should focus on securing his own safety instead of making “endless bluffs” regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

“The President of the United States, instead of his endless bluffs regarding the Strait of Hormuz, should be thinking about securing his own safety so that he doesn’t have to resort to fleeing to a food truck,” he said.
