Terrorists attack on a police post in D.G,Khan ,two elite force men martyred

Some terrorists have attacked a police posts on the border line of Khyber Pakhtoonkhwah and Punjab province on Sunday. Two cops elite force were martyred and another two injured seriously they were shifted to hospital . Security forces encircled the area .

A suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a police checkpost in Pakistan's Punjab province, killing two officials and injuring at least five others.

The attack took place on Sunday in Dera Ghazi Khan district, and it targeted the Jhangi Police checkpoint near Wahova in Taunsa tehsil,  newspaper reported on Monday.

Two police officials were killed and five others injured in the suicide bombing attack in Pakistan's Punjab province, officials said.

District Police Officer Sadiq Baluch said one terrorist was also killed in the attack.

Police have launched a search operation in the area, while security forces have cordoned off Taunsa tehsil and are collecting evidence, the report said.

The vehicle was rammed into the gate of the Jhangi post, damaging around 40 per cent of the checkpost building.

The wounded were rushed to Taunsa Sharif THQ Hospital, it said.

It may be recalled that Punjab Police have foiled a number of attempts of terrorists to sabotage the securtity forces arrangement

Funeral prayers for the police personnel martyred in the suicide attack at the Taunsa  inter-provincial police check post were offered at the District Police Lines Dera Ghazi Khan.  Punjab Police Inspector General Abdul Kareem, Additional-IG CTD Waseem Ahmad Sial, RPO Sargodha Dr Shahzad Asif, Station Commander Brigadier Rashid Siddique Khokhar, Deputy Commissioner Bhakkar Ehsan Ali Jamali, DPO Dera Ghazi Khan, along with senior officers of police and other law enforcement agencies attended the funeral prayers. 

A large number of family members of the martyrs, notables of the area and individuals from different walks of life were also present at the funeral prayers. A smartly turned-out police contingent presented salute to the martyrs. IG Punjab and other senior officers laid floral wreaths on the coffins of the martyrs and offered prayers for the elevation of their ranks.

On this occasion, IGP met with the families of the martyrs and said that the sacrifices of police personnel for the protection of the homeland and the establishment of law and order are unforgettable. He said that operations against Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij would continue with full force and the blood of the martyrs will not be allowed to go in vain.

Later, IG Punjab reached DHQ Hospital Dera Ghazi Khan where he inquired after the injured cops and prayed for their speedy recovery.
