At least seven people have died and 33 others were injured after severe windstorms, heavy rains and lightning strikes swept through parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past 24 hours, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
The weather-related incidents also caused significant damage to homes, livestock, and infrastructure across multiple districts.
The worst impact was reported in Bannu district, where strong winds and heavy rain caused roofs and walls of houses to collapse.
According to PDMA reports, four people were killed in these incidents, including two children.
At least 24 people were injured, among them nine children and nine women, highlighting the severity of the storm’s impact on residential areas

Across the affected districts, a total of 33 people were injured due to collapsing structures and lightning-related accidents.Nine children and three women were among the injured, according to official data.
The storms also caused the death of 25 livestock animals, adding to the losses faced by rural communities dependent on farming and livestock.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority said rescue teams, including emergency services such as Rescue 1122, have been deployed in the affected areas.
Local district administrations are also actively involved in relief and recovery efforts.
Authorities have assured that assistance is being provided to affected families as emergency operations continue.
