Chuadhry Umar Hatar and Fayyaz Hussain Leghari have been elected as President and General Secretary of Multan High Court Bar by scoring 3326 and 2737 votes respectively. Syed Athar Hassan Bukhari got only 1896 votes on presidential seat while Ch.Zafarullah Waraich got 2529 votes on General Secretary seat. Zahid Kabir Khakhi elected as Vice President by obntaining 1388 votes and defeating Ch.Imdad Hussain, Nawab Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Mian Mehmood Ahmed Ansari and Muhammad Abrar Khan . Ch, Numan Ahmed elected as Finance Secretary by defeating two rivals Syed Murtaza Mehdi (1669) and Syed Mohsin Abbas Kazmi (1496).
Babur Murtaza khan and Qasim Ijaz Samra were elected as President and General Secretary of Lahore High Court Bar o n Saturday. In the annual elections of the High Court Bar Association Bahawalpur, Advocate Samina Qureshi secured a historic victory by obtaining 1,815 votes and was elected president, becoming the first woman in Bahawalpur’s history to hold the office. According to the results announced by Chairman of the Election board Shafi Muhammad Tariq, her opponent, Advocate Muhammad Yaseen Attal of the Supreme Court, ran a competitive campaign and received 793 votes. For the position of General Secretary, Saqib Tariq was elected with 1,460 votes, defeating Jam Shakeeb who secured 1,146 votes.
For the office of Joint Secretary, Sardar Abdullah Iqbal Channar obtained 1,298 votes and Malik Javed Iqbal secured 1,292 votes. The results were officially announced by Chairman Election Board Shafi Muhammad Tariq and members of the Election Committee. The newly elected leadership is expected to work toward strengthening the legal community, promoting professional excellence, and addressing issues faced by lawyers in the region.
