Passengers were evacuated from an Aer Lingus plane at Manchester Airport after it had to make an emergency landing.
The airline said flight EI030 from Barbados to Manchester had a "technical issue" on Monday morning.
An airline spokesperson said the "aircraft was met by emergency services as a precaution and passengers have safely disembarked", just before 08:00 GMT.
The flight had left Bridgetown, Barbados, just before 19:30 GMT on Sunday.
An Aer Lingus aircraft had to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport. The Barbados to Manchester service on Monday, December 29, found itself encircled by emergency responders upon touchdown, following a "technical fault".
Travellers aboard Flight EI030 provided updates, with one sharing: "Barbados flight to Manchester has made emergency landing and now sitting on runway." Passengers were subsequently requested to evacuate the aircraft.
An Aer Lingus statement confirmed: "Aer Lingus flight EI030 from Barbados to Manchester landed safely in Manchester Airport following a technical issue.
"Due to the technical issue the aircraft was met by emergency services as a precaution and passengers safely disembarked," reports Wales Online.
A Manchester Airport spokesperson said a "technical issue affecting the hydraulics" had impacted the service.The statement said: "There was never any concern for safety. They've landed the plane and disembarked the passengers on the airfield."
