Multan, Dr. Zubair Iqbal, Vice Chancellor, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan has stressed the need for equitable educational standards , upgrading the teaching as well as learning standards because “Education is a pillar of culture, society, and economy. For Pakistan to be truly progressive, each citizen will need access to quality learning, supported by digital transformation to make education inclusive and future ready.” He was addressing a conference ‘Empowering Learners for Impact,’ here today
He said ,"We have to compete the world through good quality education and we should attain the education of world's demand. Now we are living in digital era. He eulogized the Oxford University Press (OUP) Pakistan for organising the conference, themed ‘Empowering Learners for Impact,’ to focus on strengthening classroom learning and preparing educators for future challenges.
In his welcome address, Arshad Saeed Hussain, Managing Director, OUP Pakistan, said about the challenges facing education sector in Pakistan, said, “For students to be equipped to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape, schools should prioritize skills-based curricula, robust teacher development, contemporary pedagogy, holistic learning, and digital competence.”

Oxford University Press (OUP) Pakistan hosted the first of this year’s series of School Leadership Conferences (SLC) in Multan, gathering school heads, educators, and academic leaders from across South Punjab to explore transformative strategies for improving teaching quality and learning outcomes in the 21st century.
The conference, themed ‘Empowering Learners for Impact,’ featured presentations and panel discussions focused on strengthening classroom learning and preparing educators for future challenges.Maira Salman Principal As Alta School Shiwal, Sr.Asia Zulfiqar Associate Professor , Fatima Iftikhar and Muhammad Shahzad Afzal also discussed the digital literacy and improvement in teaching .
