Malaysia Airlines flight forced to make U-turn due to cabin pressure problem

A flight operated by Malaysian Airlines was forced to turn back to Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Tuesday night shortly after takeoff due to a cabin pressure issue.

The flight bound for Shanghai experienced the issue after departing from the airport's terminal 1 at 9:14 p.m., The Star newspaper reported.

The flight began descending to 10,000 feet (3,048 m), indicating a potential cabin pressure issue.

Data from FlightRadar showed that the plane landed safely at the airport after 70 minutes in the air, The Sun reported.

A few days ago, a Malaysia Airlines flight from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur was diverted to Alice Springs Airport in Australia's Northern Territory due to a technical issue.
