Punjab Govt released sufficient funds for 2nd phase plan & equipments-J.U. Roomi


Multan Institute of Cardiology will be equipped with modern technology and latest equipments to provide the best medical facilities ,assured by Chairman Board of Management Cardiology Institute Multan Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi while presiding over the important meeting of the board here today. He disclosed that the Government of Punjab has released funds for the expansion of the second phase of Cardiology institute. Renowned industrialist and former President of Multan & Dera Ghazi Khan Chambers of Commerce and Industry further assured ," I would continue my mission to provide the best medical facilities of international standards in Multan to facilitate the residents of South Punjab and border areas of Sindh and Balochistan . He said that the expansion plan of Multan Institute of Cardiology has been delayed for many years, due to which thousands of patients are in a life and death struggle due to lack of treatment facilities. Acknowledging our problems,ministries of finance and health services took action promptly and  Secretaries of these two departments released sufficient funds on our request . After release of funds the construction work on Phase Two of the Cardiology Hospital was expedited besides purchasing of  state-of-the-art medical facilities in the next two months. Also, within three months, the outdoor emergency ward will not only start functioning, but the construction of phase two will start again.Additional Secretary Procurement Dr. Ayesha Parvez also attended the meeting .Executive Director Cardiac Institute Multan Dr. Mujtabi Ali Siddiqui, MS Cardiac Institute Dr. Muhammad Iqbal, Prof. Tariq Abbas, Board Members Ibn Hussain, Mahnaz Fareed, Justice (Rtd) Zafar Yasin, Prof. Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, Director Tankinkel Dr. Farhan Khan, DM S-Purchase Dr. Hafiz Khubaib Zia, DM Technical Dr. Muhammad Waqas Chaudhry, DMS Admin Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Asad participated.

  The board meeting unanimously approved the immediate purchase of medical equipment and other equipment used in the new block consisting of 208 beds. After the purchase of which the new block will be fully functional. The number of beds will increase from 279 to 500. After this, Cardiac Institute Multan will become the largest hospital for heart diseases in Punjab.

After the construction of the new block and the installation of state-of-the-art missionary in it, it will be the first electrophysiology department of Pakistan. It will help in regularizing the irregular heartbeat. This facility will be available free of cost to the deserving patients.

Chairman Board of Management Cardiology Institute Multan Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi appreciated the performance of the doctors and paramedical staff of the hospital and said that due to the hard work of all of them, this institution is becoming a proud tradition.

He said that soon various departments of the hospital are being upgraded with the support of philanthropists of Multan.

Chairman Board Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that with the support of the Punjab government, they will provide full financial support in the purchase of five modern operation theaters. After that, patients undergoing bypass in South Punjab will not have to wait for long.
