2 Kashmiris martyred 4 injured in firingby Indian army in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district

Two Kashmiri civilians were martyred and four others were injured in firing at a village in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Sunday evening.

The firing incident happened at Upper Dhangri village of Rajouri district. The firing took place at three houses separated by a distance of around 50 metres from each other.

Earlier, Mukesh Singh, ADGP Jammu, said, “An incident of firing allegedly by two armed men was reported in Dhangri village, some 7-8 km from Rajouri. Some people were injured and some reported succumbed. The police and the Army have rushed to spot. Further details awaited.”  A search operation has been launched in the area.

Four Kashmiris were killed by Indian Army by declring them terrorists freshly infiltrated and heavily armed unidentified militants, travelling in a truck to Kashmir, in a ‘chance encounter’ with security forces on National Highway-44 near Sidhra bridge in Jammu Wednesday. Police said seven  AK-47 rifles, one M4 rifle, and three pistols along with other ammunition were recovered from the slain militants who were intercepted when they were apparently heading for Kashmir in a truck at around 7:30 am on Wednesday.
