"Masood Roomi Square" is a gift of Jalaluddin Roomi foundation for People of Multan


Well Known Industrialist, former Punjab caretaker Minister for industries and ex-President of Multan- Dera Ghazi Khan chambers of Commerce & Industry Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi  has said that beautification is a key aspect of community development, and it can be an easy way to bring people together. After inauguration of "Masood Roomi Square" along with Deputy Commissioner Multan Amir Karim Khan in Multan city and Assistant Commissioners Khawaja Umair Mehmood and Aamer.He said that Cities can be places of beauty.

Many cities like Multan inherently have a rich history passed down through generations. The “story” of a city can captivate its listeners and its citizens. As Jalaluddin Roomi foundation recognise this,, the potential for turning metropolitan areas into large “canvases” full of culture, wonder, and excitement can be realized. Deputy Commissioner Amir Karim Khan said that efforts  are being made to highlight the centuries old history of the ancient city of Multan  by constructing monuments. District administration has completed construction of 6 monuments on main squares with the help of private sector while construction of monuments has also started at Dera Adda and NLC bypass.


The Deputy Commissioner said that the private sector Particularly Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi has been providing full support to all the beautification projects. Roomi said  that We will continue to cooperate with the district administration in the future as well. He said that Jalaluddin Roomi Foundation is providing food to the poor and needy people including passengers and porters at the railway station. "Mehr Fatima Dastar Khwan" is also being started at "Masood Roomi Square" (earlierly known as Saho Chowk) to provide free food to the people in which food will be provided to more than 300 people daily.

The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the initiative of Jalaluddin Roomi and assured to provide all possible assistance including the place of Dastar Khwan.
