Saudi Arabia’s relations with Pakistan are long-lasting and friendly-Saudi Envoy


Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki said that Saudi Arabia’s relations with Pakistan   are long-lasting and friendly, we ever acknowledged Pakistan as brother Muslim  Country. Furthermore, the two countries have a strong trade relationship, which totalled more than $1.7bn in 2019. About 74 percent of that consisted of Pakistani oil imports from Saudi Arabia.

Exchanging views with a noted Pakistani Industrialist, former Punjab caretaker Minister for Industries,and former President of MCCI & DGCCI Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi in a special meeting at Lahore,Al-Malki said Pakistan is therefore, a strategic partner for Saudi Arabia, making it unlikely that any other country can fill its place.

The ambassador said that Saudi Arabia ever come forward for the help of Pakistan whenever it needs. We have helped in Earthquake for the rehabilitation of affectees, in flood for the reconstruction of  damaged assets. 

Al-Malki said that Saudi Government was considering to make investment in different sectors in Pakistan so that maximum number of Pakistanis could get jobs at home. He told Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that "we consider Pakistan as our second homeland and Pakistanis as our dearest brothers, who always supported the cause of Muslim ," he said. We invite Pakistani entrepreneurs ,investors and traders to make investment in Textile and other sectors industry in tax-free zone specially developed for this purpose.

Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi has praised Saudi Arabia for the humanitarian assistance it has given to both global and regional emergency and relief operations, including  $2 million in reconstruction aid after devastating earthquake  & floods in Pakistan. 

Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi told the Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki  that "  Harmain  Sharifain" are the basis of love ,respect and affectionation between Pakistani Muslims and Saudis. Roomi said that KSA government had ever encouraged the Pakistani Work-force. With more than 2.5 million Pakistani expatriates in Saudi Arabia, their remittances constitute a significant portion of foreign reserves for the country.

Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi apprised him that we are curiously waiting for restoraton of Umra visa facility like Muslims of the world. Upon this  Saudi Ambassador Al-Malki assured that Umra visas would be issued in a few days and Special concessions and incentives would be announced for Pakistani.

Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki said that Vision-2030 is a strategic framework to reduce Saudi Arabia's dependence on oil, diversify its economy, and develop public service sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, recreation, and tourism.He said,"We are working on new policies to attract foreign investors.He said that opportunities would be available for thousands of  Pakistani Doctors, Engineers and skilled persons under Vision 2030.The Ambassador said that Saudi Arabia was investing in exploration of Oil & Gas in Pakistan. He said that day was not far off when Pakistanis would be able to get jobs in their homeland.

Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi briefed the Saudi Ambassador Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki about the potential of South Punjab  and said that South Punjab's climate and culture was not different from Saudi Arabia .Later he invited him to visit South Punjab where People are over joyous to warmly accord him.
