MULTAN, Noted Industrialist,Ex-President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry and sitting President of Dera Ghazi Khan Chamber and Former Punjab carertaker Minister for Industries Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi who is renowned for his generosity on Monday handed over five containers of eatables and food to Pakistan Army for internally displaced persons(IDPs) of Afghanistan. Talking to media on this occasion Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi said that our " Jalaluddin Roomi Foundation Pakistan (JRFP) is making all out efforts to meet the requirements of needy afghan people besides providing them shelter. He said that we are already working on different projects of Public health, Education and Clean water for all besides elimination of poverty in Pakistan. He said that reward and benefit of charity and service to vulnerable humanity is paid by Almighty Allah which is unending.
He spoke about the need for a concerted effort to help the embattled country, where half the population had already been in need of humanitarian assistance before the extraordinary developments of the last few days. He said that neighbouring states would stay in concern about the increasing vulnerability of the Afghan people and he urges the international community to provide protection and assistance to mitigate their sufferings . As many as 18 million Afghans—nearly half the country’s population—need urgent humanitarian aid, including food and housing.“Afghan are devastated by what’s happening in Afghanistan and we stand with the Afghan people,” said Jalaluddin Roomi.“We are acutely aware of the fears and anxiety that the Afghan people feel right now. It’s vital that international support to national governments is urgently stepped up to meet the massive needs. This must include funding for measures to prevent the spread of the virus and to promote the inclusion of IDPs in national preparedness and responses efforts.he added.
