Indian forces martyr three Kashmiris in IIOJK

The Indian forces in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiri youth in Pulwama district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) on Friday.

According to the Kashmir Media Service (KMS), the youth were killed by troops during a cordon-off and search operation in Kakpora area of the district. The operation was underway till the last reports came in.

Several youth, including a girl, were injured by Indian troops’ firing in the area.

Yesterday, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had said unless India does not revisit its August 5, 2019 decision to annex Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan could not normalise ties with its nuclear-armed neighbour.

The development comes after the federal cabinet rejected an Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) suggestion to import cotton yarn and sugar from India.

The decision to turn down the proposal was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser on Thursday said that Pakistani nation resolutely supported their Kashmiri brethren for realisation of their independence from tyrant India.

“Parliament will continue to raise the issue at international parliamentary forums for mustering support for Kashmir issue,” said Asad Qaiser in a meeting with former prime minister and president PTI Azad Kashmir Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry.

The meeting discussed in length overall political, economic and security situation of the country. The NA Speaker said that the nation was united on Kashmir issue and Pakistan had always stood by with their Kashmiri brethren. The whole world should condemn India’s inhumane atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

He said the international community should take notice of the atrocities being perpetrated by the Indian government in occupied Kashmir. He said Prime Minister Imran Khan had highlighted the ongoing brutality and violations of human rights in IIOJK in the United Nation General Assembly. The NA Speaker said the Pakistan Parliament had fully highlighted the issue of Kashmir on all regional and international forums. He said that Pakistan would continue to provide political, diplomatic and moral support to the Kashmiri people.

Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry said that Kashmir was an unfinished agenda of the partition of subcontinent and without resolving it, peace could not be established in the region. He said the Kashmiri people had deep ideological commitment with Pakistan.

He said Prime Minister Imran Khan had effectively presented the Kashmir issue in the UN General Assembly. He expressed the hope that PTI would win majority and form government in Azad Kashmir in the upcoming elections.
