Presidential election was among the Four candidate while General Secretary faced four rivals. Abdul Qayyum Dasti and Shafiq Malana were elected in Muzaffargarh as President and General Secretary respectively.Ch. Nadeem elected as President in Vehari,Malik Munir Ahmed Bhutta in Lodhran. Azmat Islam Ghilzai ,Ijaz Kulachi have been elected as President and General Secretary in Dera Ghazi Khan, Falak Sher Gopang and Mirza Amin elected in Rahimyar Khan as President and General secretary. Rao Muhammad Sadiq elected as President in Rajanpur while Jawad Raza asa General Secretary, Mehr Habib Ahmed President and Mehr Suleman General; secretary of DBA Layyah.Malik Sarood of the Independent Group, famously known as the late Asma Jahangir group, was elected president of the Lahore Bar Association in a one-on-one contest, securing 2,544 votes against 2,503 of Rao Sami of the Hamid Khan-led Professional Group.
After the announcement of the results, lawyers celebrated victories of their candidates on different seats and resorted to aerial firing besides dancing to drumbeats.
Rana Shahid Hussain and M.H. Shaheen were elected vice presidents with 2,410 and 2,201 votes, respectively. Rana Kausar Sulehri and Irfan A. Khichi were elected on one each seat of vice president from Model Town courts and Cantonment courts, respectively.
