Death toll rose to 67,999 globally, While 2,52,615 recovered

More than 67,999 people have died from COVID-19, as the illness is officially known, while over 1,249,107 infections have been confirmed in at least 183 countries and territories. Punjab's Primary and Secondary Healthcare department has confirmed 184 new coronavirus cases in the province taking the provincial total to 1,380.
According to a statement from the department, the patients have been divided into four categories: 309 pilgrims, 443 people associated with Raiwind Ijtima, 28 prisoners and 600 citizens.Lahore has the highest number of cases at 260.Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah has confirmed 51 new cases of coronavirus in the province, taking the tally to 881.According to Punjab health department spokesperson Qaiser Asif, the total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the province have reached 1,196.
Of those 1,196  only 537 were local transmissions, 312 from zaireen centres across the province and 347 were associated with the Tableeghi Jamaat.
Among the zaireen, 213 were in Dera Ghazi Khan, 91 in Multan, 5 in Faisalabad.
Among the preachers from Tableeghi Jamaat, 303 were part of Raiwind Markaz, 3 from Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha 13, Vihari 13, Rawalpindi 6, Nankana 2, Gujrat 5 and 2 are from Rahimyar Khan.
The spokesman added that Lahore's 220 confirmed cases were highest in the province thus far.
In a video message, the chief minister also said that one more person has died from Covid-19 in the province.
He added that 68 more people have recovered in the last 24 hours taking the total number of recoveries to 123.
The national tally has now crossed 3,100 Covid-19 infections.
Italy records lowest virus death toll in over two weeks
Italy on Sunday recorded its lowest daily death toll from the novel coronavirus in over two weeks and saw the number of critical care patients decline for the second day, AFP reports.
The 525 official Covid-19 fatalities reported by the civil protection service were the lowest since 427 registered on March 19.
