MULTAN, The Executive Committee of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI)chaired by its President Sheikh Fazal Elahi has urged upon the Chief executive Officer of Multan Electric Power Company(MEPCO) to ensure the provision of electricity connection to Industry soon after the payment of demand notice.The committee apprised the President of their grievances and said that our member have applied for the Industrial connections adopting the due procedure and meeting the all requirements of the MEPCO. Upon this demand notices were issued to concerned applicants which were paid by them before the due date.
Inspite of that power connections were not yet installed causing a huge financial loss besides affecting the industrial production.The meeting also discussed a number of social welfare projects and other issues confronted to the business community of Southern Punjab.The meetin was attended by Senior Vice President Mian Rashid Iqbal, Vice President Sheikh Muhammad Nadeem, Ex-President of FPCCI Mian Tanvir A' Sheikh,Ex-Presidents Khawaja Muhammad Yousaf,Mian Iqbal Hassan, Mian Farid Mughis'A Sheikh,Khawaja Muhammad Hussain, Muhammad Khan Saddozai,Muhammad Sarfraz, Sheikh Faheem Sattar, Mirza Ali Ahmed, Syed Iftikhar Ali Shah, Malik Shakil Arain, Mian Shafi Anis, Majidullah Khan, Khawaja Badar Munir, Sheikh Muhammad Sharif, Naeem Ahmed and Muhammad Shafiq acting Secretary General of MCCI.
