Blasphemy- Detention of an alleged blasphemer who exonerated of charge

District Magistrate Multan has detained Syed Khalil Ahmed an alleged blasphemer for 30 days when his release orders received by the Jail authorities.He was detained under maintenance of Public order in the larger national interest.District administration said that his release was in the his own interest any fanatic can attack him,The Muslim accused of blasphemy in Pakistan was acquitted by session court but could not be freed from jail  even after serving five years in prison. His family members returned disappointed from prison with garlands purchased to warmly accord him at prison gate. It may be recalled that the complainant Muhammad Ramzan Khizri organiser of Jamaat Ahle-Sunnat withdrew all allegations describing it misunderstanding or misconceiving.For this, he spent five years in jail in Multan.Pakistan’s blasphemy laws are some of the most stringent in the world. False allegations are common as the laws are frequently abused to settle personal scores or incite religious hatred.
