At least 14 killed in Qila Saifullah road accident

At least 14 people were killed and several others injured when a truck and a passenger van collided at Alikhail area in Qila Saifullah district early on Monday morning.
The ill-fated van was on its way from Quetta to Zhob
According to details, the incident occurred on Zhob Road due to which 14 people lost their lives. The dead also includes a woman and five children.
The bodies and seven of the injured were shifted to Trauma Centre Civil Hospital Quetta while a medical emergency was declared at Qila Saifullah Hospital.
Police said two of the injured were in a critical state.
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan expressed grief over the tragic incident and asked the authorities concerned to provide best facilities to the injured and families of the victims.
Earlier in April this year, at least 12 people were killed and 17 others injured when a passenger van collided near Mastung.
The accident happened when an over-speeding truck collided with the van coming from the opposite direction at the National Highway near the Dasht area of the district, killing five passengers on the spot while injuring 15 others.
Rescue 1122 responded to 1,057 traffic crashes in the province during the past 24 hours. Ten people were killed in the accidents while 1,175 were injured
Out of those that were injured, 729 people sustained critical injuries and had to be shifted to different hospitals. Meanwhile, 446 people sustained minor injuries and were treated on site by medical rescue teams.
