24 people are killed and 12 are injured when bus crashes head-on

A passenger bus crashed head-on with a dump truck in southern Bolivia on Monday, killing at least 24 people and injuring 12 more, police said.
The accident occurred in a dense fog on the high-plains highway connecting Potosi and Oruro, about 135 miles (220 kilometers) south of the capital.
Police said the bus, carrying 45 passengers, was en route to Oruru from the town of Villazon on the Argentine border.
Cecilio Mamani Tola, 38, the driver of the Volvo bus belonging to Trans El Inca, survived the accident. He passed a field sobriety test  The driver of the Volvo truck died but he has not been identified.
Authorities were able to identify 13 of the dead victims, including seven men and five women and a young girl from Argentina, according to El Mundo.
Their names are: Félix Ramiro Rodríguez, 36; Primitivo Colque Márquez, 59; Cristóbal Barcaya, 46; Rónald Wilson Chino, 32; Cristóbal Barcaya, 35; Mauricio Machaca, 61; Felipa Laura, 31; Wendy Anabel Chino (7), Martha Mollo (46), Elva Chungara (40), Elsa Victoria Escóbar (47), y Elbira Mamani (21).
Gabriel Ozorio Baldeiglesia, nine, suffered a skull fractured and is set to undergo an emergency surgery at  San Juan de Dios General Hospital in Oruro, according to Bolivian news outlet Unitel.
Another boy, Marco Ozorio Baldeiglesias, 10, was also transported to the same hospital. It's unknown if they are both related.
Iris Yamil Calani Huarachi, a three-year-old, was taken to Oruro Hospital. The status of her condition is unknown.
Police Col. Jose Pizarro told state television that the cause of the accident was under investigation.Two buses collided on the same highway in January, killing 22 people.
