“Women can play a vital role through their keen social and economic understanding and involvement for a prosper growth of self, household and community.” These remarks were made by Begum Romana Tanvir Sheikh,Former SVP of MCCI and Chairperson of Women Social Welfare Committee while addressing a meeting of Women Entrepreneurs Committee here today. She said that Multan Chamber was playing a key role for capacity building of women entrepreneurs with the help and cooperation of different departments .Credit goes to MCCI which introduces the skilled women of Southern Punjab in global market.She said that Vocational and Technical education and Training and private sector organizations are promoting women’s full and effective participation at all levels and advocate maximum opportunities for employment.Romana Tanvir suggested the banks and financial institutions should provide soft loans on personal surety to the women entrepreneurs. Syeda Sarwat Zahra Chairperson of Women Entrepreneur Sub committee said that an exhibition would be organised on February 10 at Multan to display the products manufactured by local women entrepreneurs.She said that all necessary arrangements were being made to attract the visitors and buyers. Sarwat Zahra said that it is our mission to evolve as a national platform for urban and rural women entrepreneurs with an aim to enhance their contributions in all Spheres of life through attaining sustainable financial strength, recognition in family, society, Public life and economy. Khurram Javed Butt, Secretary General of MCCI also spoke of this topic and said that Multan chamber facilitate women entrepreneurs in marketing their products and services through development of a broad based business network at the local, the national and the international level.We also Help women entrepreneurs get access to finance and services provided by various public and private institutions
