31 insurgents killed in Afghan forces operations

At least 31 insurgents including ISIS militants were killed in the past 24 hours during Afghan forces ground and air strikes in different parts of the country, the ministry of defence said, reported Tolo News. The MoD said at least 13 airstrikes were carried out across the country to target insurgent hideouts after yesterday's suicide attack on a Shia moque which claimed 29 lives.
According to the ministry, at least 31 insurgents were killed and 17 others wounded. Two suspects were arrested, MoD said adding that among those killed were four Pakistani insurgents.
Operations were conducted in Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Ghazni, Paktika, Kandahar, Zabul, Farah, Badghis, Kunduz, Takhar, Faryab, Nimroz and Helmand provinces.
The MoD said airstrikes targeted insurgent hideouts and destroyed vehicles and weapons caches.
No more details were provided by the MoD and the Taliban has not commented on the operations.
