119 picnickers drowned in Haripur,Swat,Multan,Karachi,hyderabad, Bodies of youths found

At least Nineteen picnickers have died in separate incidents during the three days of Eid in Karachi Multan,Haripur,Sawat and Balochistan.
Two friends drowned in Sikandari canal in Multan city when they were swimming to beat the heat.Their bodies were found after three hours hectic efforts.
Nine persons, including two brothers, drowned in Swat and Haripur while picnicking during the Eid days.
Seven tourists drowned and three others were injured as a van they were boarding plunged into the Swat River in Ramait area of Bahrain tehsil.
The van was carrying tourists back to Buner from Kalam valley, but it went out of the driver’s control and fell into the river.
Itbar Gul, a resident of Ramait, said initially four men died on the spot, three others were missing while three were injured.
A Rescue 1122 official said they reached the spot immediately and recovered the bodies of three missing persons after sometime.
He said the injured and the bodies were shifted to Madyan tehsil hospital.
The local residents said bad shape of the road was the cause of the incident.
In Haripur, two brothers drowned and another was rescued in River Siran, police said on Monday evening.
They said family of Nawaz Khan, a resident of Khalabat Township, was picnicking near Hill Beer village when some youngsters started bathing in the river, but they were swept away by the strong currents.
Local divers rescued one of them while two brothers drowned. Their bodies were fished out later and handed over to the family. They were identified as Waleed Nawaz and Zain Nawaz.
Two young friends drowned while swimming at Karachi’s Sanspit beach on Sunday. Their bodies were fished out by rescuers on Monday. Faraz, 19, and Osama, 22, were on a picnic trip at the beach along with their friends on the second day of Eid.
Faraz, a second year student at a local college, was the only brother of five sisters. Osama, the eldest of three siblings, wanted to pursue his B.A. and sit competitive exams for civil services. Rescuers searched for the bodies on Sunday – but with no luck. They had to call off the hours-long search operation after darkness fell.
They resume the search on Monday – and managed to retrieve the bodies which were subsequently handed over to heirs after medico-legal formalities.
Separately, two young men – Anwarul Haq and Hazar Shah – drowned while swimming in the sea at Rehri Goth. Shah was rescued, while Haq is feared dead. Rescuers were searching for his body when this report was filed.
Separately, at least five people, among them three children, died while picnicking in Balochistan during the first two days of Eid.
A landslide buried a vehicle carrying a man and his three children in the Salyazi area of Zhob district. Rehmatullah Safi, who is contesting the upcoming elections from PB-2 (Zhob), was taking his children on a picnic when their vehicle was hit by a massive landslide.
Three drown in two incidents in Hyderabad
The three children – Nazir, Matiullah and Naseebullah – died on the spot while Rehmatullah sustained injuries. Rescuers pulled out the bodies and the injured from the vehicle which was buried under tons of mud and slush.
In another incident, a man, identified as Abdul Sattar, drowned while swimming in a stream in the Killi Bring area of Zhob. The body was fished out by rescuers and shifted to a local hospital.
Separately, a resident of Quetta died while swimming in the Bolan river. Rehmatullah Achakzai was on a picnic during the Eid holidays. Rescuers retrieved the body and shifted it to a hospital in Quetta.
Life guards, meanwhile, rescued six people from drowning in the Arabian Sea off Gaddani. Subsequently, they were shifted to a hospital.
The bodies of 19-year-old Faraz and 22-year-old Osama who drowned on Sunday afternoon at Karachi's Sandspit beach have been recovered on Monday morning, Geo News reported, citing authorities.
Osama who was a resident of North Nazimabad and Faraz who was a resident of Federal B Area, had gone to the beach to enjoy the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
TWO men drown in Keenjhar lake
In another incident, two people drowned on Sunday while taking a leisurely trip to the town.
The identities of the two men who drowned in Keenjhar Lake, otherwise known as Kalri Lake, have not been revealed; however, one was from Karachi while the other from Chitral
