None acceptance of Madris degree by government is regrettable: Jalandhari

Wafaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia Chief Maulana Hanif Jalandhari on Thursday said none acceptance of seminary student degree at the government level is regrettable. 


Jalandhari also demanded of the government to recognize Madaris Board as other educational boards in the country.
He said this while addressing a press conference after attending the annual function of Jamia Muhammdi, Islamabad.
He said that they had been in talks with the government for the past over three decades but unfortunately talks could not reach any conclusion.
It is pertinent to mention here that there are over 20,000 seminaries are established across the country in which over 2.3 million children are registered. The most important is that the strength of the students in the seminaries is increasing day by day.
He informed the media that this year over 400,000 students appeared under Wafaq-ul-Madaris throughout the country. For that purpose, 1,808 exam centres were established and over 13,000 teachers performed their duties.
He said this year as many as 73,427 students learnt Quran by heart which is the largest number in the world in general and in the Muslim world in particular.
The chief said this year, over 23,000 students included over 13,000 male and 10,000 female students appeared in the Shahadat-ul Almiya exam.
Jalandhari said Madaras across the country has the uniform system of education and exams are being conducted under this system.
Both religious and traditional education is being imparted to the students up to Martic level.
Besides, skills related to domestic affairs and stitching training is being provided to the students.
He said hand over the education in the hand of provinces under the 18 amendment has further destroyed the education system, adding all four provinces following their separate education policies.
He said due to the division of education system, schools across the country have a separate system of education, putting the national unity at stake.
He demanded of the government to take the education departments control in its hand and implement a uniform education policy in the country.
He said due to none acceptance of seminary degree, religious institutions owners and parents have grave reservations.
He demanded of the government to recognize seminary board as other boards in the country. He also demanded recognition of religious seminaries degree at all government institutions.
