Socio-Economic development of women in general and disables in special is necessary

MULTAN,Begum Romana Tanvir Sheikh Senior Vice President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry  (MCCI) said that dream of country's progress,prosperity  and development can't come true without improving the  socio-economic condition of women in general and special persons in special. Delivering her speech at a function jointly organised by Society for  special persons, Social Welfare department,Multan Crescent Club and Hafeez Ghee Mills  to mark the International Women day .She said that It is fact that Women are half of the total population. The sustainable development of the country depends on the full and equal participation of women and men. The overall development of a country depends upon the maximum utilization of her people, both men and women. Women empowerment can be considered as an important indicator for socio-economic development. On the other hand, women equal participation in education and employment is necessary for empowerment of women,she added. She stressed the need for provision of economic, social necessities to disable women Many researches contributed to show that there is a relation between women education and empowerment. It is argued that women higher education increase employment opportunity. Similarly, employed women are able to contribute to the economy of family as well as socio-economic development of the country. Romana Tanvir said that empowerment cannot be fully achieved without the women's full participation in education as well as employment. She argued that there is a relation between women education and empowerment. From this point of view, the study has developed a theoretical framework showing the relationship between women education and empowerment. Zahida Hameed Qureshi of Society  for Special persons said that Women are  an  integral  part  of  the societies  and that sustainable development must include the full and equal participation  of  women  and  men.  The  overall development  of  a country  depends  upon  the  maximum utilization  of  her  people,  both  men  and  women. Therefore, women  participation in  social and  economic development  is  essential to  the  overall  development  of the  nation.  Director Social Welfare Asghar Julbani, Renowned philanthropist Syed Ijaz Ahmed Shah, President of Crescent club Prof.Hameed Raza Siddiqui, Muhammad Afzal Sipra, Saeed-ullah Khan ,Pervez Iqbal Ansari, Rifat Saeed, Social Welfare Officer Ahmed Chishti,Khurram Javed Secretary General of MCCI, Sajida Chaudhry,Dr.Irfan Paracha, Asif Iqbal, Tania Bukhari, Iqra-Haq, Amjad Baloch also spoke on the occasion.
