PPP pays tribute to Nusrat Bhutto on her 6th death anniversary

The sixth death anniversary of Begum Nusrat Bhutto, wife of the former prime minister and founder of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, was observed here on Monday with renewed commitment to continue the struggle for protecting democracy. PPP activists under the leadership of Dr.Javed Siddiqui ex-MPA,General Secretary PPP South Punjab, M.Salim Raja ,Raees-uddin Qureshi, Nausheed Arif Gondal,Farhan Abbas Gilani, Malik Bashir Ahmed, Manzoor Qadri, Imran Javed Sumra, Allah Bakhsh Bhutta,Akbar Aarbi, Tanvir-ul-Hassan Awan lit the candles at night followed by Quran and Fateha Khawani were held at the Shrine of Hazrat Baha-udding Zakariya in Multan,.The leaders and workers of PPP (Shaheed Bhutto) also visited the Shrines of Spiritual saints to offer Fateha and placed floral wreaths on their graves.PPP leaders say" The courage ,Tolerance,and endurance will continue to inspire the democracy loving people across the country.The former first lady of Pakistan was a towering personality and she possessed great personal courage.In facing crises and enduring personal tragedies in the cause of democratic struggle,she inspired the young and old alike and lit the path for future generation,they said.The best way to pay tribute to her memory is to strengthen the parliament and democratic institutions in the country and to remain vigilant against any attempt to undermine democratic process, they said.
