MULTAN, Oct 25th: Peace ,stability,harmony were guarantors of economic development, progress and prosperity As you are fully aware, peace and stability are of high importance in promoting, No country can develop and grow economically without peaceful coexistence among its population. Individuals are the pillar of any country’s economic development, said Malik Asrar Ahmed Awan, President of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI)while addressing at opening session of "Peace Musical Festival"at MCCI today.He said that foreign buyers, investors, and traders visit to only peaceful cities and countries because they are not ready to take any risk.He said that economic and political stability was vital for country's defence. Patience, tolerance, endurance,forgiveness and co-existence were necessary for peace inthe society.While inter-faith harmony was demand of the hour.He said that our armed forces were playing an important role to eliminate the terrorism ,subversionism.and they had complete the operation Rad-dul-Fasad, Zarb-i-azab. Sikh leader Mahindar Paul Singh, Hindu Community's representative Chaudhry Johny,and Christian leader Pastor Fahim stressed the need for the promotion of lesson of tolerance, patience and polity among the children and it must be a part of syllabus.They further said that youth must be motivated to positive and fruitful activities.No country can develop and grow economically without peaceful coexistence among its population. Individuals are the pillar of any country’s economic development.Mrs.Romana Tanvir Sheikh Senior Vice President of MCCI said that economic reforms are considered as a ceaseless process, which has many positive effects, such as complacency, sense of belongingness on the part of citizens,reduction of crimes and social violence, which in turn enhances national security in such a way that promotes development and creates a favorable investment environment. we should take measures in order to achieve national harmony that attains the hopes of Bahrainis for peace and justice. Khurram Javed Butt Secretary General of MCCI said “The Peace Music Festival aims to extensively share peace-making processes and the importance of peace among general public and promote the participation of people in it. In addition, it also aims to enable them to play their part in the peace process.Saman Sheikh and Muhammad Ali performed in the second session and a Short play was presented in third session.Festival was joined by a huge gathering.
