MULTAN,Sept 19th:Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) has issued the figures of cotton arrival upto September 15th,2017. Seed cotton (Phutti) equivalent to over 23,65,555 bales of cotton have reached ginneries across Pakistan as of September 15,Last year PCGA did not issue the cotton arrival figures on Sept 18. According to the maiden fortnightly report of Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) issued here today,Chairman of PCGA Dr.Jeso Mal ,Ex- Chairman Shehzad Ali Khan and group Chairman Haji Muhammad Akram ,Senior Vice Chairman Suhail Mehmood Haral briefed about cotton production and said Out of the total arrivals, 2.36 million bales of cotton have been converted into bales so far. Ginneries in Punjab recorded arrival of 8,46,238 bales recorded . Sindh ginneries recorded arrival of 15,19,317 bales .Textile mills have bought 18,24,790 bales while exporters bought 95,057 bales. The total bales sold out so far were calculated at 19,19,847 bales. Multan received 15,603 bales, Lodhran 17,045 bales , Khanewal 1,53,459 bales , Muzaffargarh19,687 bales an ,Dera Ghazi Khan 23,132 ,Rajanpur 38,494 bales,Layyah 28,788 , Vehari 1,51,701 bales , Sahiwal 95,454 bales , Pakpattan 18,003 bales , Okara 5,900 ,Toba Tek Singh 54,978 bales, Faisalabad 15,950 bales, Jhang 6,580 ,Mianwali 5,600 , Bhakkar 9,450 Sargodha 2,000 Rahimyar Khan 6,076 bales Bahawalpur 58,293 and Bahawalnagar 1,20,046 .In Sindh: Hyderabad 1,35,334 bales ,Mirpur Khas (Thar) 1,55,724 bales , Sangarh ,9,20,060 bales , Nawabshah 84,882 bales , Naushero Feroze 46,973 bales, Khairpur 17,934 Ghotki (Figures not received),Sukkur 25,318 Dadu(Figures not received), Jamshoro 89,465 bales ,Badeen 11,600 bales and Baluchistan 32,027 bales (Total 574 ginning factories are operational in the country.Of them 339 in Punjab and 235 in Sindh.Total 4,45,708 bales are lying in unsold stock.
