Chief Minister Punjab said establishment of air university campus would provide higher-education to students from under-development areas.

On the occasion, Air Chief Sohail Aman said new campus is an important milestone in promotion of higher education in the country.Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday has asked political parties to not oppose projects in the field of defence, economy and education for the development of Pakistan. The minister laid foundation stone of Air University campus in Multan and said that education is of immense importance for progress and prosperity of the country. He said the purpose of campus is to provide educational facilities to the students from far flung areas. Criticizing the opposition leaders, he said that those calling metro bus as ‘jangla bus’ are now constructing it in their own province. He said there is need to furnish the skills of youngsters through proper opportunities and guidance. On the occasion, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman said that we have to make achievement of self-sufficiency possible at any cost. He said peace has been restored . in Pakistan due to sacrifices of army officers. Air Chief also stressed on making education compulsory for everyone
Air chief also stressed on the importance of achieving complete self-reliance in the Defence Sector. Earlier, Chief Minister Punjab laid the foundation stone of Air University Multan Campus. The project would be completed over a period of 5 years at a cost of 2 Billion Rupees.
