After the Pakistan Government gave approval to hold the final of the Pakistan Super League – 2017 at Lahore, the sale of the match tickets will begin from Tuesday, February 28, as announced by Najam Sethi here on Monday.
The PSL final’s tickets will be sold through on line from Tuesday and they will be sold also at outlets in Lahore from Wednesday (March 1).
The rates of tickets will be Rs500, 4000, 8000 and 12000 for different enclosures.
The final will be played at Gaddafi Stadium which has a reduced capacity of 25,000 spectators after its enclosures have been redesigned. Now it has finally been decided that the final of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) - 2017 will be held in Lahore as the Punjab government has given the go-ahead signal at a high-level security meeting here on Monday.
An official announcement in this regard will soon be made by the Punjab Government and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
Earlier, there were doubts whether the PCB would hold the PSL final in Lahore on March 5 following the February 13 suicide bombing in which 13 people were killed.
However, in a meeting held last week between the PSL management and the five franchise owners in Dubai, it was decided that the final of the tournament would be held in Lahore as per schedule.
With the holding of the PSL final in Lahore, international cricket returns to Pakistan. Pakistan have not hosted any international cricket tournament since the terror attack on the Sri Lankan team bus in Lahore in 2009,when six Pakistani Policemen were killed and some of the visiting players were injured.
